Choice Of Trailer

We have decided to do a combination of a highlights trailer and a scene trailer to incorporate all of the action, gore and psychological horror aspects. Our trailer contains all three as each member of our group has a different preference. Doing a predominantly ‘highlights’-type trailer will allow us to build up the action and suspense, include jumps and body horror effect to draw in the audience. The ‘scene’ aspect will be covered by including small snapshots of scenes and how the characters get from living everyday lives, to a zombie apocalypse.

We have also decided to make our trailer a ‘red band’ trailer. As all the members of our group are females, we can take this opportunity to show violence towards them.
 
 

This video is the Evil Dead (2013) trailer. It is a highlights trailer and shows the layout we would, in the main, like to do. It starts off slow and builds up to a fast montage of action shots. Within these shots we see the narrative of the film and various different body horror effects which really draws the audience in.  The trailer ends slow with a shocking gore effect, which features a woman slicing her tongue. We hope to end with something similarly shocking or scary.
